Has permanently connected wires and a bracket to hold the stock stator plug.
Before replacing regulator, test stator for shorts to ground and proper AC output. If the stator is bad, a complete charging system upgrade is recommended.

- Controls voltage on Harley-Davidson and Buell alternators, unlike other rectifiers or regulators that dump to ground and cause maximum stator current and higher temperatures
