Removing and reinstalling those C style retaining rings will be a snap with this set of external retaining rings pliers. There will be no worry about the C clip springing across the shop because the pliers' jaws are scored to securely hold the snap ring. Caution should be used not to overstress the snap ring when removing and always use a new snap ring when reinstalling.
